Episode Reaction: The Circumstances in My Home's Bathtub (オレん家のフロ事情) Episode 1 – Ha! Gaaaayyy!

I honestly am at a loss for words right now. What can anyone say after seeing the first episode of The Circumstances in My Home's Bathtub? I guess I should've known what I was getting myself into after seeing the title. But ah well.
"Don't die, Mr. Merman sir!"
"I'm coming to rescue you~~!"
Our story focuses on Haru's cousin (no joke, though; the voice actor of Haru, Nobunaga Shimazaki, voices the guy here), who comes across a mermaid—or I guess I should say merman—and takes him to his home, putting him in his bathtub. This merman begs of Haru's cousin to let him reside in his bathtub, explaining that the lake he lives in is polluted with trash and just awful to live in. Haru's cousin agrees and they happily (well, at least the merman) spend their time in the tub together.
"Please don't mind my tail. Arigato~!"
And that's episode one in a jiffy. No really, that's all, considering that it's four minutes long. And all I have to say about this show is that it's cute. Complete nonsense, but cute.

Our main protagonist, Haru's cousin (again, I'm sorry; I can't remember most anime character's name right after the first episode >.>) is very much like Haru: emotionless, always dragged into situations, but a caring guy. I mean, he does let a merman stay at his house. So, nice guy I guess. Next we have the merman who is freeloading at his house. He seems to be a high-standard guy and rather oblivious to all the trouble he's giving our protagonist, but I find him endearing in a way.
Especially when he's in chibi version. >///<
All in all, I really enjoyed this episode, and I expect to be going
a lot—but in the same way I do for Free!. :3 And with that, take care, otakus!
